  • Thirupparamkunram- It is a popular Hindu temple in the south and is one of the six abodes of Lord Murugan. It is very close to the city lying only 8km away. An most striking and unique feature is that of deities of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu facing each other in the main shrine.
  • Palani- This temple is one among the six Padaiveedu’s of Lord Muruga. The Palani Hill temple has been constructed on the top of a hill. It is said that the temple was built by a Chera King.The idol of the Muruga in Palani was created and consecrated by sage Bogar, one of Hinduism’s eighteen great  One has to climb up more than 600 stairs to reach the temple atop the hill.
